25 things i couldn't say about myself last year

an end of year recap is always nice to do, but instead of writing paragraphs of reflect, i decided i wanted to sum things up nicely by listing off the things i can say about myself this year that i couldn't say about myself the year before. so, here they are!

1) i left the comfort of my sales job to pursue something scary (and happy)

2) i am a faster runner than i was in high school

3) i beat all of my personal records in running

4) i run for team oiselle

5) i feel the happiest i've been in a long, long time

6) my sister is getting married! (and i'm the maid of honor!)

7) i really like coffee

8) i'm going to the rose bowl! plus witnessed an amazing year of football for my spartans.

9) i've run a race every single month this year (and for the past year and a half, to be exact)

10) i'm finally starting to embrace and love who i am

11) i really, really like golf (a serious shocker)

12) i have found more strength through sharing my struggles than by hiding and feeling shamed by them

13) i led efforts to raise over $5k in less than two weeks for the american cancer society. a high i will ride for a long time!

14) i was the voice over "talent" in a promotional video for a race!

15) i completed a full year of saving all my $5 bills - for a end of year lump sum of $360!

16) brandon and i took three mini vacations this year - a record for us!

17) i finally sucked it up and made an appointment for orthotics. i think this will be a game changer for me, in a good way!

18) i went to a terrible third eye blind concert but had a great time despite it all with my friends :)

19) i've become more frugal - this is an amazing thing!

20) i had my first ever giveaways on my blog

21) i've visited disneyland (can't believe it took this long!)

22) i'm wearing my hair curly more than i ever have (more curly days than straight this year!)

23) spent a week at lake michigan and it was awesome

24) i saw a weasel in the wild on a run near my house (best wildlife sighting by far)

25) i pet a reindeer

and on one last note, google+ put together this cute recap of 2013 for me, automatically. made me smile :) 2013 was a great one. here's to 2014 being even better!

happy new year!

Congrats on such an amazing accomplishment for raising money for the Cancer society. I also went to a lousy Third Eye Blind concert. I realized i'm not really a fan! Happy NYE!

    1. We were expecting Third Eye Blind to be upbeat, play the oldies... it was just awful! He wore his hood for the most of the first set... un real!

      Happy 2014!
